As part of its reorganization plans, #BP expects to cut at least 500 #jobs in the Houston area this year, according to the Houston Business Journal, citing the company’s notification to the Texas Workforce Commission.
Many of the cuts are expected to occur in early June at three locations in Houston. The cuts are part of the approximately 4,000 additional job eliminations that BP announced in January. This past year, the company cut approximately 4,000 positions worldwide. In 2015, BP had approximately 6,121 full-time #Houston-area employees.
